Child Health Assessment and Planning engages a variety of BPHC programs and partners to envision, design, and implement new initiatives and policies to address emerging child, adolescent and family health needs pertaining to children and youth with special health care needs and their families. One emerging initiative is implementation of a curriculum on disability awareness for all students participating in the Boston Area Health Education Center (BAHEC). As an extension of this program, interested BAHEC students will have the opportunity to participate in a more in-depth training that will prepare them to become mentors for children and youth with special health care needs in Boston.
