Funeral Director Licenses
The Environmental & Occupational Health Division (EOH) implements and enforces the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure’s regulations for funeral directing, which are under the Board of Registration of Embalming and Funeral Directing. These regulations set requirements for safety procedures in funeral establishments. In order to provide funeral services in the city of Boston, funeral directors must have an annual funeral director license from the EOH.
